Meet Our Team
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mollie Ewing, MPH
Mollie grew up on a farm in Vincennes, Indiana, where her early experiences shaped her strong work ethic and commitment to community. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience, laying the foundation for her deep interest in mental health and human behavior.
​
Mollie joined CFS early in her career as a Prevention Specialist, where she spent several years working on program development. Her time in this role allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the needs within the behavioral health space and to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the organization.
​
After earning her Master’s degree from Columbia University, Mollie returned to CFS with a broader vision and a refined skill set. In October 2020, she was named Chief Executive Officer.
As CEO, Mollie draws upon her expertise in grant writing and her passion for creating sustainable, impactful programs. She focuses on building the structures necessary to pilot progressive interventions across the behavioral health and criminal justice sectors.

Mollie is dedicated to advancing CFS’s mission by ensuring that the organization’s programs are innovative, evidence-based, and responsive to the evolving needs of the communities it serves. Under her leadership, CFS continues to expand its reach and impact, providing critical services to individuals and families facing complex challenges.
Chief Financial Officer
Abraham Maze, BAcc
Abe graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor's in Accounting with a focus on auditing both public and private entities.
Early in his career, he served as an auditor for various social service agencies, where he gained valuable insight into financial management within the nonprofit sector.
​
Driven by a desire to make a greater impact, Abe transitioned to focus on the development and implementation of financial resilience strategies for nonprofit organizations.
Over the past four years at CFS as Chief Financial Officer, he has led the de-implementation and expansion efforts, successfully modeling the organization’s programs to maintain economic strength even amid significant financial distress.
Abe’s expertise in financial strategy and his commitment to fostering sustainability in the nonprofit sector continue to play a crucial role in CFS’s ability to deliver on its mission and maintain fiscal health during challenging times.
Chief Operating Officer
Emma Lett, MBA
Emma has a diverse background in social work, business management, and operations. Originally from Greenwood, Indiana, she earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana, equipping her with a strong foundation in both people-centered care and strategic business operations.
​
Having spent the majority of her career at CFS, Emma has led and managed a variety of projects, continually honing her expertise in operations management. Her deep understanding of organizational processes and systems has been integral in her progression to Chief Operating Officer at CFS, Corp.
​
Since May 2023, Emma has played a pivotal role in the development of performance management systems, building effective healthcare payor/payee relationships, and overseeing the management of Compliance and Human Resources at CFS.
Her ability to combine business acumen with a passion for operational excellence has contributed significantly to CFS’s continued growth and success.

Emma is committed to fostering a positive and efficient organizational environment, ensuring that CFS delivers on its mission while maintaining a high standard of service and compliance.
Clinical Director
Dr. Elizabeth Meeks, DSW, LCSW, CADAC II
Liz is a retired athlete who had the unique opportunity to turn her passion for basketball into a career, playing professionally until 2016.
During her athletic career, she was able to complete most of her Master of Social Work (MSW) coursework in Germany, balancing her studies with the demands of playing the game she loved.
After transitioning from professional sports, Liz continued her academic journey and earned a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) degree from Barry University.
With a strong focus on trauma-informed care, Liz specializes in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including crisis intervention, sand tray therapy, EMDR, expressive arts, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), suicide prevention (QPR), and the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). She is also experienced in substance use and recovery interventions.

Liz is passionate about helping individuals navigate and heal from trauma, offering a comprehensive, holistic approach to therapy that empowers clients to achieve lasting positive change.
Advocacy Director
Tucker Smith, BSW, CADAC II
Originally from Sullivan, Indiana, Tucker is a proud member of his high school’s Hall of Fame. He graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Social Work, a field that has shaped his career in making a positive impact in his community.
​
Tucker began his journey with CFS as a Recreation Specialist on the residential campus, later transitioning into roles in substance misuse and abuse case management, admissions direction, and most recently, serving as the External Relations Manager overseeing all programs within the organization’s umbrella.
​
In his current role as Advocacy Director, Tucker leads CFS’s first full-time initiative dedicated to the implementation of Harm Reduction strategies.
With a deep commitment to improving outcomes for individuals impacted by substance use and behavioral health challenges, Tucker is focused on advancing CFS’s advocacy efforts, ensuring that harm reduction principles are integrated into every level of service delivery.
Health Services & Hope's Voice Director
Laci Thornton, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Laci started her career as a nursing assistant while still in high school. She worked her way up the nursing ranks and during the same time became a proud mother to her two children, Hayden and Korbin. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, where she graduated with honors while working full-time.
​
At CFS, Laci was an integral part of the team that led our company to Joint Commission accreditation – and has developed all integrated healthcare services to date with the implementation of a wellness team. She has supported CFS’s mission and vision by expanding the health services delivered to all the youth we have served. Researching what is needed for the future of healthcare and teaching others is all in a day’s work for Laci. She has a strong passion for teaching others and strives to make a positive impact on those around her.
​
As a family nurse practitioner, Laci delivers care with empathy, integrity, and advocacy in the forefront of her mind! Although Laci is able to prescribe medication as a viable option, she encourages the holistic approach of listening and educating her patients on alternatives before resorting to medication. Laci is a firm believer that her patients need to understand why they are taking medication, and she discusses with them how they feel about their personalized treatment plan.
Community Impact Director
McKenzie Young, BA
McKenzie was born in Wyoming but grew up in Vincennes, Indiana, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Indiana University, marking the beginning of her career in social work.
​
In the spring of 2009, McKenzie and her now-husband moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania, where they lived for nine years. During this time, they got married, had their daughter, and McKenzie embraced her role as a stay-at-home mom.
​
In April 2018, McKenzie and her family returned to Vincennes to be closer to family. She dedicated much of her time volunteering at her daughter’s school and within the local community.
In 2021, McKenzie re-entered the workforce and joined CFS, Corp. in 2022, where she is now focused on developing community-driven projects and programs.
​
McKenzie is also pursuing her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Murray State University, with plans to graduate in December 2025. She is passionate about building initiatives that positively impact the community where she was raised and where she is now raising her daughter.
SOR Project Director
Laura Jimenez, MBA
Laura grew up in Bicknell, Indiana, and has always been deeply committed to making a positive impact in her community.
She began her academic journey by earning an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Vincennes University, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding developmental and educational needs.
Motivated to expand her career opportunities, Laura went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University, combining her passion for service with the skills needed to lead and manage projects effectively.
​
Over the course of 16 years at Good Samaritan Hospital, Laura held various positions, where she grew her expertise in project development, team leadership, and program management. Throughout her career, she discovered her passion for supporting individuals in recovery, particularly within the peer recovery workforce. This interest led her to focus on building and elevating recovery services that empower individuals to reclaim and improve their lives.
​
In 2024, Laura joined CFS, Corp. with a clear mission: to expand and enhance peer recovery services across Knox County. She is dedicated to fostering a supportive, compassionate environment for those in recovery and believes that peer-led services play a vital role in long-term success and healing. Laura is passionate about working alongside the recovery community to increase access to resources, support networks, and opportunities for growth and recovery.

Her unique combination of healthcare experience, business acumen, and commitment to the recovery community makes her an invaluable addition to the CFS team. Laura is excited to continue working toward creating positive, lasting change for individuals and their families.
